Certain laser barcode scanners from Symbol / Zebra1, formerly branded Motorola Barcode Scanners, are capable of having the width of their laser beam shortened or widened to make scanning small or clustered barcodes much easier. In order to change your beam width you must be using a laser barcode scanner from Symbol/Zebra/Motorola, like the LS2208 Retail Scanner2, LS4208 Rasterizing Retail Scanner3, or LS3008 Light Industrial Scanner4. Simply scan the barcode for the beam width that you wish to use. By default, the scanner uses full width. You can also find these barcodes in the manual that comes with your scanner.
NOTE: Laser scanners don't read images on screens. Please print the image below and then scan. Click HERE for a printable version of the images.6!Symbol Scanner Beam Width5 Bethany Sales Representative 800-903-6571 1: 2: 3: 4: 5: 6: Share this post.
Press the scan button (+) to wake the scanner. Press and hold the Bluetooth button (round button) for five seconds. The scanner beeps and the Bluetooth button starts blinking quickly to indicate that the scanner is discoverable by the host. On your mobile device, turn on Bluetooth and let it search for devices. You will see your scanner in the list.
Select the CS3070 from the discovered device list. The Bluetooth application will prompt you to scan the pass key it generated. Scan Numeric Barcodes corresponding to the pass key, one by one, then scan the Enter code. The Bluetooth button blinks slowly to indicate that the scanner is paired with the host. Now, in your Loyverse POS app, go to the ‘Sales’ menu.
When you scan the item with a barcode, this item will be added to the ticket.
The MC3190 is a workhorse, recommended for several years by Balloon One for use in ambient warehouse environments. With various communication, scanning and keyboard options, there's probably the perfect MC3190 for your operation. A key feature of the MC3190 is connecting to wireless networks, and this video is intended to be a how-to for any user to configure the handset to connect to a wireless hot-spot. This video covers connecting to a normal visible network, a separate video will cover connecting to hidden networks. This video also applies to the veteran MC3090, which normally had a black and white screen - the menu options are very similar if not identical.

The CR0078-S cradle can also be mounted on a vertical surface (such as a wall). 1 - 8 LI4278 Product Reference Guide Connecting the CR0078-S/CR0008-S Series Cradle IMPORTANT Connect the interface cable and power supply (if necessary) in the following order to ensure proper operation of the linear imager scanner and cradle. If a power supply is connected to the cradle, disconnect it. See Figure 1-7. GETTING STARTED 1 - 9 Connecting the CR0078-P Series Cradle IMPORTANT Connect the interface cable and power supply in the following order to ensure proper operation of the linear imager scanner and cradle. Insert the interface cable into the cradle’s host port. Connect the other end of the interface cable to the host.
1 - 10 LI4278 Product Reference Guide Lost Connection to Host If scanned data does not transmit to the cradle’s host, ensure that all cables are firmly inserted and the power supply is connected to an appropriate AC outlet. If scanned data still does not transmit to the host, reestablish a connection with the host: Disconnect the power supply from the cradle. GETTING STARTED 1 - 11 Replacing the Linear Imager Scanner Battery The battery is installed in the cordless linear imager scanner by the factory and resides in a chamber in the linear imager scanner handle. To replace the battery: Insert a Phillips screwdriver in the screw at the base of the linear imager scanner, then turn the screw counterclockwise to release the latch. 1 - 12 LI4278 Product Reference Guide Charging the Linear Imager Scanner Battery Fully charge the linear imager scanner battery before using the linear imager scanner for the first time. To charge the linear imager scanner battery, place the linear imager scanner in the cradle, ensuring that the metal contacts on the bottom of the linear imager scanner touch the contacts on the cradle. GETTING STARTED 1 - 13 Reconditioning the Linear Imager Scanner Battery To maintain optimal performance of the linear imager scanner NiMH battery, perform a battery recondition approximately once a year.
To begin the battery recondition cycle: Scan Battery Recondition below. Battery Recondition Place the linear imager scanner into the cradle. 1 - 14 LI4278 Product Reference Guide Inserting the Linear Imager Scanner in the Cradle Insert the linear imager scanner in the cradle so that the metal contacts on the bottom of the linear imager scanner handle touch the contacts on the cradle. Push the handle lightly to ensure a proper connection, engaging the contacts in the cradle and linear imager scanner. GETTING STARTED 1 - 15 Ensure the desk/wall mount converter knob is in the position shown in Figure 1-11.
